Just as blood is for life, Traffic is for a blog.
In the initial days you might get frustrated and plan to give up on blogging because you are unable to gain readership. Frankly speaking, I too went through the same phase. When I started my blog, I was unable to fetch readers which pissed me off and I planned to give up on blogging.
If you don’t drive traffic to your blog, it will eventually die and all your efforts will go in vain.
Now, the internet has evolved so much that even if you write quality stuff you won’t be getting quality traffic unless you have a proper strategy.
Traffic for any online business is like lifeblood. It allows your business to work well and earn money.
What is Traffic really?
Traffic is the number of people who view your website or blog, the pages they view and the span of time they spend on those pages. When a person pays a visit to your site, that visit is recorded and the links that person clicks or follows gets recorded. These numbers are added up at the end of the day to give you an idea of your website popularity.

No matter how experienced or talented you are in your niche, if you are unable to draw more traffic, the rank of your website will be affected.

The content you post today on your website may drive organic traffic tomorrow, next month, next year and probably even after several years from now but that will not happen in paid traffic. That is why putting in efforts for drawing organic traffic is worth it than drawing paid traffic. Getting traffic from search engines is better than the traffic you get from social media sites or other sources. Also, the traffic drawn from search engine is more consistent than other sources.
There are several ways through which you can get traffic for your sites like Blog Commenting, Guest posting campaign, buying paid traffic etc. In this blog, I will tell you how you can increase and get organic traffic to your blog and website if you are ready to put in efforts and work on getting more organic traffic. These are the things you need to do-
- Make your blog easily accessible to search engine
It is necessary to make your blog or website more search engine friendly and providing the visitors with what they are looking for.
There are various features of SEO like On-page SEO, Off-page SEO, On-site SEO. Start with On-site SEO. Excellent quality of content and SEO go hand in hand if we have to draw traffic from search engines.
Also, do not forget to take good care of titles, URLs, tags, descriptions etc.

Social Media platforms like LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Google+, etc. are the best platforms for any business to promote their products. People are more likely to buy a product or visit a page when their colleagues, friends or family suggest something to them. Therefore, make your content appropriate so that it is shareable on social media. Add Social bookmarking buttons on your blog.
To draw more organic traffic, you will definitely have to work hard for it and give the best of your efforts every time an opportunity pops up. Keep a check on your competitors’ site and work on the strategies they have missed out.
